International exchanges and study at a German-speaking university
Students wishing to major or complete an honours program in German must successfully complete an approved course of study in Acadia’s Year Abroad Program at the University of Freiburg or, in the case of business students, at the Fachhochschule Bielefeld. The department can supply further information about study in German-speaking countries.
Canadian Year in Freiburg, Germany
From 17 to 21 July 2023, the University of Oldenburg, Germany (Partner of Acadia University) will offer a five-day online German taster course at no charge for accepted students!
Message from the University of Oldenburg:
In a total of 15 lessons with a professional teacher of German, they will learn their first words, form simple sentences and gain an insight into typical everyday situations. The course is aimed at students from partner universities with no previous knowledge of German. The times are chosen in such a way that participation is possible for students from North and South America as well as European students. We have 16 places available and will distribute these places equally among our partner universities. The decision will be made after the deadline of application (May 31).
